Applications for research degrees such as the Doctor of Philosophy (Pharmacy) at UTS are submitted directly to the university. Once your application is successful, you will receive an offer and can follow the specific process for accepting a graduate research offer as outlined by UTS.
A scholarship offer cannot be deferred at UTS; students are welcome to re-apply in a future round. For course offer deferral, domestic students should refer to the 'Deferring your course commencement' page and international students to the 'Deferring your offer' page on the UTS website.
UTS offers one of Australia's most generous scholarship programs. Scholarships managed by UTS Scholarships are accepted through My Student Admin, and recipients must meet ongoing eligibility criteria including academic progress and enrolment requirements as outlined in the Conditions of Award.
UTS is located in the heart of Sydney's Tech Central precinct, close to the CBD, Darling Harbour, and surrounding creative industries. It is ranked #7 in Australia and #96 globally (QS World University Rankings 2026), and is recognised for academic excellence, industry engagement, and innovative, practice-based learning.
UTS provides a range of support services for students including career guidance through UTS Careers, academic support, and a diverse community from over 180 nationalities. Research students can also access the UTS Graduate Research School for specific guidance on their degree and accepting research offers.

Honestly I was lost when I first started looking at Australian colleges. There are just too many options and every agent gives you different info. A friend told me about FindTheCourses and within a week I had shortlisted 3 programs that actually matched my budget and visa situation. My advisor Sanjay was super helpful — never felt like I was being pushed into anything.
