General Requirements

A four-year bachelor degree in a relevant discipline including a substantial research component (at least 25% of one year full-time study) with a minimum weighted average of 75% in final year subjects or (University of Melbourne) equivalent, OR a masters degree in a relevant discipline with an equivalent research component and minimum weighted average of 75%, OR equivalent qualification and professional experience
2 referee reports (except for UoM graduates within the last 5 years) and evidence of in-principle supervisor support
A research proposal and example of scholarly writing and/or folio, with specific word-count requirements varying by discipline area (e.g. 2,500 word proposal plus 4,000-5,000 word scholarly writing sample for Creative Arts Therapies, Music Psychology, Music Therapy and Musicology/Ethnomusicology)
