Common Questions
No, applicants cannot defer their offer into the Doctor of Veterinary Medicine. If your application is successful, you must be prepared to start classes during mid-February of your intake year.
All applicants are required to complete two Online Situational Judgement Tests: the Acuity Insights Casper test (CSP-20400 - Postgraduate Veterinary Science) and the Kira Talent online situational judgement test. The Kira Talent test is only available between 26 July and 29 July 2026 AEST and will not be available at any other time. Applicants must register for the Casper test at least three days before their chosen test date, and a fee applies for the Casper test.
As entry to this course is highly competitive, students who meet the minimum requirements are then ranked according to academic performance, animal and veterinary experience (must have supporting documentation), Admission Statement, and both situational judgement testing results, with available places offered to top ranked candidates. This course has limited places available and not all applicants who meet the application deadline and requirements may be successful.
Applicants must have completed a minimum of 30 working days of work experience in the veterinary and animal industries and must provide supporting documentation to confirm completion of the experience listed on their form. Failure to provide supporting documentation relevant to your experience will prohibit your application from being considered.
Yes, North American applicants can apply directly to the University, via an official agent of the University, or via the Veterinary Medical College Application Service (VMCAS). If applying through VMCAS, applicants do not need to complete the DVM Admission Statement; however, VMCAS applicants will need to provide detailed outlines for each of the pre-requisite subjects from an official publication of the Provider University. The VMCAS application deadline is 15 September 2026 at 11:59pm ET.

Honestly I was lost when I first started looking at Australian colleges. There are just too many options and every agent gives you different info. A friend told me about FindTheCourses and within a week I had shortlisted 3 programs that actually matched my budget and visa situation. My advisor Sanjay was super helpful — never felt like I was being pushed into anything.
