The EAP course is offered at three levels: EAP Level 1 (Intermediate), EAP Level 2 (Upper-Intermediate), and EAP Level 3 (Advanced). Students who successfully complete EAP levels 1 and 2 will meet the English language requirements for foundation studies, TAFE and other VET Certificate and Diploma courses. Students who successfully complete EAP level 3 will meet the English language requirements for undergraduate studies (subject to course entry requirements).
Students are expected to study 12 weeks per level to achieve a level that is higher than their current proficiency, with each week consisting of 20 hours of face-to-face classroom interaction. The overall programme duration ranges from 12 to 40 weeks depending on how many levels a student completes.
The EAP course equips students with skills including: listening to lectures and presentations; reading academic text types such as textbooks, journal articles and literature reviews; conducting presentations; participating in seminar discussions; summarising and paraphrasing readings; taking effective notes; citing sources and creating a bibliography; contributing orally in seminars; understanding and demonstrating critical thinking skills; and writing different genres of academic text such as reports and essays, including evaluating arguments, using academic resources, and proofreading and editing their work.
Students will undertake a placement test covering four main language components (reading, listening, writing and speaking) to identify an appropriate course entry level for them. They will also undertake regular assessments to evaluate the progress of their language learning and the effectiveness of the course in meeting their needs.
The maximum class size for the EAP course is 18 students, ensuring a focused and interactive learning environment.

Honestly I was lost when I first started looking at Australian colleges. There are just too many options and every agent gives you different info. A friend told me about FindTheCourses and within a week I had shortlisted 3 programs that actually matched my budget and visa situation. My advisor Sanjay was super helpful — never felt like I was being pushed into anything.
