Core unit totalling 40 credit points covering academic English language and skills development for university study.
Common Questions
Upon successful completion of ZEAP40 (EAP 4), students will meet the English language requirements equivalent to an IELTS score of 6.5 overall, making them eligible for direct entry into eligible CDU undergraduate programs and eligible CDU postgraduate coursework programs that require an IELTS equivalent of 6.5 overall.
Yes, EAP 3 and EAP 4 can be taken separately or together, depending on a student's English entry level and their destination degree. Each EAP level is undertaken full-time over 15 weeks (0.5 year), so completing both levels would take approximately 30 weeks full-time.
Teaching takes place face-to-face in small group classes. Each week students attend 20 hours of class and are expected to complete approximately 10 hours of work outside of class time, totalling around 30 hours of study per week.
As an EAP student you will improve your speaking and listening skills through interactive classroom activities, improve your academic reading and writing skills through engagement with academic texts, gain exposure to the types of assessment tasks encountered during a university degree, develop independent learning skills required to succeed at CDU, and learn to confidently use CDU learning technologies in a supported environment.
EAP 4 is only available on campus at the Danala - Education and Community Precinct location. It is not available online, and it is only open to international students — domestic students are not eligible to enrol.

Honestly I was lost when I first started looking at Australian colleges. There are just too many options and every agent gives you different info. A friend told me about FindTheCourses and within a week I had shortlisted 3 programs that actually matched my budget and visa situation. My advisor Sanjay was super helpful — never felt like I was being pushed into anything.
