English Language Intensive Course for Overseas Students

The minimum IELTS (or equivalent) score required to undertake a Standalone ELICOS course is 3.0 overall. The minimum IELTS (or equivalent) score required to undertake a packaged ELICOS course is 5.0 overall.

Standard duration is between 5 weeks and 45 weeks full-time, depending on the student's entry level of English and the required English level for their chosen course.

The ELICOS course is delivered on campus at UC College, Bruce, ACT and UC College, Acton, ACT. Most modules are available at the Bruce campus, while Modules 4 and 9 are also available at the Acton campus for international students.

The ELICOS course offers multiple intake dates throughout the year, with 9 modules starting from January through to November. In 2026, start dates include 05 January, 16 February, 23 March, 04 May, 09 June, 20 July, 24 August, 06 October, and 16 November.
