The ACU Semester in Rome runs for up to 15 weeks and is structured into four study blocks, where you study one unit at a time in intensive study block mode rather than taking several units simultaneously.

Yes, the ACU Semester in Rome is designed to be flexible. You can apply for the full semester (4 units, one from each study block), or choose to study 3 units from 3 different study blocks, 2 units from 2 different study blocks, or just 1 unit from one study block.

All units are worth 10 ACU credit points, which is equivalent to 3–4 USA credit hours or 7.5 ECTS.

Beyond study, you'll immerse yourself in Roman life, bond with other students from around Australia and the world, explore historic sites, and improve your Italian. You'll also have the opportunity to engage with locals in a meaningful way, such as working with the homeless and refugees among the Sant'Egidio community.

There are four study blocks in total. Block 1 is an Italian language intensive at introductory to intermediate level. For Blocks 2, 3, and 4, you select one unit from three available options in each block.
