The General English course covers six levels: Starter, Elementary, Pre-intermediate, Intermediate, Upper-intermediate, and Advanced. Each level runs for 10 weeks with 2 weeks holiday between levels.
The course costs $160 per week for onshore students and $16,000 for offshore students. There is also a non-refundable Enrolment Fee of $500 and a Material Fee of $1,000 (non-refundable once the course has commenced). Please note that fees have the potential to change during your course, and special promotions may run during the year.
Stellar College gathers evidence from a variety of sources using a range of methods including in class discussions, quizzes, spot tests, homework and assignments, core text book tests, oral presentations, and surveys and feedback sessions. Progression takes place under the implementation of both formative and summative tests/assessments across reading, writing, listening and speaking.
The General English course focuses on four main core skills: Reading, Listening, Speaking, and Writing with Grammar, designed to help students improve their English skills to interact with other English speakers in real life situations to the equivalent of course completion.
The General English course does not articulate with any program external to the college. However, the course will help at improving the general English ability of the learner to use the English language for further academic studies or work/social/everyday situations.
