Course Overview

About This Course

General English is Impact English College's flagship course, guiding students from Elementary through to Advanced level across six structured levels. Delivered at both the Melbourne and Brisbane campuses, the course is designed to build real, everyday communication skills so students can use English confidently in the real world beyond the classroom.

Classes combine grammar and vocabulary development with a strong focus on speaking and listening, alongside pronunciation coaching to help students sound more natural and accurate. Each level takes approximately 10 weeks to complete, and students can enrol for a minimum of 4 weeks up to the full 60-week program, with new intakes starting every Monday.

Lessons cover a wide range of everyday topics — from ordering at markets and making hotel reservations to reading newspaper articles and writing emails — taught by dynamic, interactive teachers in small classes of up to 18 students. Impact's English-only policy immerses students in the language both inside and outside the classroom, helping them progress faster while building friendships with classmates from more than 35 countries.
