General Requirements

Students must complete and sign the enrolment form and submit it to TIES
Student Visa holders must choose the General English full-time course (CRICOS Code: 03378G) as their principal course of study
Student Visa holders must purchase Overseas Student Health Cover (OSHC)
Students applying to study with a Student Visa are required to pay for 4 weeks full-time tuition fees, enrolment fee and OSHC before a CoE will be issued
A copy of the student's passport must be provided with the enrolment form
Students must provide their current English level (via TIES online English test or previous exam results such as IELTS, TOEFL, TOEIC, PTE, FCE, CAE)

TIES runs on a schedule of four 11-week terms each year (10 Study Weeks + 1 Exam Week). Term 1: 06/01/2026–20/03/2026 (holidays: 21/03/2026–29/03/2026, one week); Term 2: 31/03/2026–12/06/2026 (holidays: 13/06/2026–28/06/2026, two weeks); Term 3: 30/06/2026–11/09/2026 (holidays: 12/09/2026–20/09/2026, one week); Term 4: 22/09/2026–04/12/2026 (holidays: 05/12/2026–04/01/2027, four weeks).

What is the refund policy if my student visa application is rejected?

100% of the tuition fees will be refunded if a visa application is rejected. You must notify TIES within 28 days of visa rejection. Please note that the enrolment fee is non-refundable. All refund requests must be made in writing to the Director at PO Box 2219, Townsville, 4810, or via email to Director@tiesnq.com.au.

Does TIES offer homestay accommodation, and what does it include?

Yes, TIES can arrange Homestay accommodation for students. Homestay includes Breakfast and Dinner during the week and three meals on weekends. There is a Homestay booking fee of $350 and an accommodation fee of $400 per week. Extra homestay accommodation (owing to flight arrival/departure dates etc.) is charged at $100 per night.
