There are no pre-requisites for entry into the General English program. Any students 16 years or over are eligible to enrol.
Your teacher will give you a formal test every week, usually on a Thursday. You will be tested on at least one of the four macro skills of reading, writing, speaking and listening, and you may also be tested on grammar and vocabulary. As you demonstrate your progress through successful test results, you will move up to the next GE level. If your results are not satisfactory, you will need to spend more time at the same level to consolidate your learning.
The General English course is ideal for Beginners to Upper-intermediate levels, making it accessible to a wide range of students.
The main aim of the course is to provide students with the necessary English to communicate their needs and intentions to others in everyday situations. Key outcomes include fast progress in everyday English fluency, pronunciation, vocabulary and grammar, as well as listening, reading, writing, and speaking skills. Students will also learn about Australian culture through fun activities and excursions, and have the opportunity to make friends from all over the world.
The General English course runs for up to 60 weeks, with a tuition load of 20 hours per week delivered face to face and virtually.

Honestly I was lost when I first started looking at Australian colleges. There are just too many options and every agent gives you different info. A friend told me about FindTheCourses and within a week I had shortlisted 3 programs that actually matched my budget and visa situation. My advisor Sanjay was super helpful — never felt like I was being pushed into anything.
