The General English 1 course runs for a minimum of 4 weeks up to a maximum of 24 weeks. Full-time studies require learners to attend a minimum of 20 hours of face-to-face delivery per week. Classes are scheduled for 2½ days per week: Monday and Tuesday from 8:00am to 4:30pm, and Wednesday from 8:00am to 1:15pm.
In General English 1, learners build their basic English skills through simple, everyday topics. Reading lessons help learners understand signs, short texts, and basic instructions using activities like matching and group tasks. Writing lessons cover building clear sentences, filling out forms, and writing short messages. Speaking lessons focus on useful conversations like introducing yourself or asking for help, using role-plays, flashcards, and pronunciation practice. Listening tasks include short dialogues and instructions to help learners catch important words and respond correctly.
The course uses a combination of formative and summative assessments. Formative assessments are conducted weekly through unit tests, allowing learners to demonstrate their understanding of the skills covered in class. Every 10 weeks, a summative level test is administered to assess learners' overall proficiency and determine their suitability to progress to the next level.
Yes. All learners who study at KCBT receive a certificate upon completion of their course, outlining the course they studied, its duration, and the level of English they achieved.
You must be at least 18 years old at the start of the course and have a suitable level of English to understand and attempt tasks. You can meet the English requirement by providing evidence of an internationally recognised English proficiency test score, providing a level certificate from a previous Australian education provider, or by achieving the required score for the intended level in the KCBT placement test.

Honestly I was lost when I first started looking at Australian colleges. There are just too many options and every agent gives you different info. A friend told me about FindTheCourses and within a week I had shortlisted 3 programs that actually matched my budget and visa situation. My advisor Sanjay was super helpful — never felt like I was being pushed into anything.
