Max English offers five levels: Elementary (basic survival skills and language for most commonly encountered situations), Pre-Intermediate (skills to engage effectively in many social interactions and routines), Intermediate (language skills for more advanced forms of social interaction in complex contexts), Upper-Intermediate (broad range of English skills for all social interactions and preparation for entry into Max Therapy Institute's Courses), and Advanced (a foundation for a deeper understanding and appreciation of the cultural dimension of language interaction and its social contexts).
The General English course costs $200 per week for tuition, $15 per week for materials, and a one-off application fee of $250. Seasonal promotions for international students may also be available — it is recommended to check with the team at studentsupport@mti.vic.edu.au for current promotions.
The General English course runs for 4 to 50 weeks of study (not including holidays) or 60 weeks including holidays. New intakes begin every Monday.
Max English teaches with the 'Face2face' books published by Cambridge University Press, Cambridge, United Kingdom. These texts enable students to learn more English with interactive exercises, useful downloads, games, and weblinks, covering grammar, vocabulary, pronunciation, listening, and reading. Materials are available for each level.
Max English offers a wide range of electives and activities including Health and Wellbeing, Move It (Team work/Bonding), Job ready, Karaoke and Speak up, Popcorn and Movies, Cricket, Meditation, Yoga, Job interview practice, Soccer, Tennis, Online games, and more. Max Events include Cloud 9 Day (a pamper and relaxation day with flotation tanks, Massage, Dry Needling, Cupping and Aromatherapy), Max Birthday Bash, Multicultural Day, Aussie Beach Day, Sports Day, BBQ lunch in the park and Picnic day.
