The General English programme is offered at five levels: Beginners, Elementary, Pre-Intermediate, Intermediate, and Upper-Intermediate. Each level comprises 12 weeks of study, with classes conducted Monday to Friday totalling 20 hours of face-to-face classroom instruction per week.
There is no English language requirement to enrol in the General English programme. However, all students must sit a placement test covering the four main skills – listening, reading, speaking and writing – in order to be assigned to a class appropriate for their level.
Students who successfully complete the mid-course and final course assessments with a score of at least 60% will progress to the next level of study.
Students may attend vocational or tertiary study courses after they have completed the Upper-Intermediate level of the General English Course and achieved the level of English necessary to enter those programmes. The approximate post-course IELTS equivalent for the Upper-Intermediate level is 5.5–6.0.
General English students can participate in a range of extracurricular activities including Movie Club (screening Hollywood films), Conversation Club (afternoon tea with classmates), YEC Workshops (public speaking, painting, crafts), and Excursions to museums, beaches, sights around Sydney and the harbour.

Honestly I was lost when I first started looking at Australian colleges. There are just too many options and every agent gives you different info. A friend told me about FindTheCourses and within a week I had shortlisted 3 programs that actually matched my budget and visa situation. My advisor Sanjay was super helpful — never felt like I was being pushed into anything.
