Common Questions
Students must be 18 years old or older at the time of enrolment. Students will also be assessed with a placement test and interview to determine the appropriate class level.
The course consists of six levels: Starter (Level 1), Elementary (Level 2), Pre-Intermediate (Level 3), Intermediate (Level 4), Upper-Intermediate (Level 5), and Advanced (Level 6). Each level has 10 weeks of study and 2 weeks of holiday, totalling 70 weeks (60 weeks of study and 10 weeks of holidays) for the full course.
Each level involves a combination of formative and summative assessments. Formative assessments include mini-tests per unit covering pronunciation, grammar, vocabulary, and functional language, completed in Weeks 1, 2, 3, 4, 6, 7, 8, and 9 of each level. Summative assessments consist of two tests per level (mid-course and end-course) completed in Weeks 5 and 10, and students must achieve a 50% pass mark for both tests.
The General English course is delivered in a face-to-face classroom setting only. Teaching methods include teacher-directed and student-centered learning, with flexible delivery tailored to different learning styles, cultures, and student needs. A combination of presentations, discussions, role-plays, oral presentations, individual and group instruction, audio-visual materials, web-based research, online activities, and independent research will be used.

Honestly I was lost when I first started looking at Australian colleges. There are just too many options and every agent gives you different info. A friend told me about FindTheCourses and within a week I had shortlisted 3 programs that actually matched my budget and visa situation. My advisor Sanjay was super helpful — never felt like I was being pushed into anything.
