The General English program consists of at least two levels: General English 1 (CRICOS Course Code: 097476F) and General English 2 (CRICOS Course Code: 097477E). General English 1 focuses on building basic English skills through simple, everyday topics, while General English 2 develops skills through real-life topics, structured writing, and group discussions.
The minimum enrolment is 4 weeks and the maximum is 24 weeks. Classes are scheduled for 2½ days per week, and full-time studies require learners to attend a minimum of 20 hours of face-to-face delivery per week. The timetable runs Monday and Tuesday from 8:00am to 4:30pm, and Wednesday from 8:00am to 1:15pm.
The course uses a combination of formative and summative assessments. Formative assessments are conducted weekly through unit tests, allowing learners to demonstrate their understanding of the skills covered in class. Every 10 weeks, a summative level test is administered to assess learners' overall proficiency and determine their suitability to progress to the next level.
All learners who study at KCBT receive a certificate upon completion of their course, outlining the course they studied, its duration, and the level of English they achieved.
You must be at least 18 years old at the start of the course and have a suitable level of English. To demonstrate your English proficiency, you can either provide evidence via an internationally recognised testing score, provide a level certificate from a previous Australian education provider, or achieve the required score for the intended level in the KCBT placement test.

Honestly I was lost when I first started looking at Australian colleges. There are just too many options and every agent gives you different info. A friend told me about FindTheCourses and within a week I had shortlisted 3 programs that actually matched my budget and visa situation. My advisor Sanjay was super helpful — never felt like I was being pushed into anything.
