Common Questions
The General English course is delivered over 6 levels: Beginner, Elementary, Pre-Intermediate, Intermediate, Upper Intermediate, and Advanced, with each level spanning over 10 weeks.
There is no English Language requirement to enter this course. As the course starts from a very low entry level, students with limited or no English are able to join. All students need to complete the AEC English Placement test on their first day in order to ascertain the student's current English level.
The course involves 20 hours of face to face on campus learning per week. The total course duration is 72 weeks, comprising 60 weeks of study and 12 weeks of holidays.
A minimum of 80% attendance is required for student visa holders. Additionally, a minimum of 50% or greater must be achieved in assessments to demonstrate satisfactory course progress for student visa holders.
All students will receive a certificate upon successful completion of their course.
