Yes. UOW values the importance of prior learning and work experience. If you are a mature age working professional without an undergraduate degree, you are still encouraged to apply, as UOW will assess your other relevant tertiary qualifications or substantial relevant professional or managerial experience. Applicants with five years' full-time equivalent managerial or professional work experience in finance will also be considered.
Yes. Upon successful completion of the Graduate Certificate in Applied Finance, you may enrol in a Master of Applied Finance and be eligible for credit for the four subjects completed within the graduate certificate. Progression with credit to other master's programs, including the MBA, may also be possible.
The indicative course fee for a full-fee paying place at the Wollongong campus (on campus) is $16,753 for 2026, with a session fee of $8,376. In 2026, domestic students may be eligible for either a Commonwealth supported place (CSP) or a UOW-subsidised fee reduction of up to 75% off the listed fees.
For Trimester 1 2026, the domestic (direct) application deadline is 31 December 2025, and the international deadline is 18 November 2025. For Trimester 3 2026, the domestic (direct) deadline is 30 June 2026, and the international deadline is 2 June 2026. Applications must include all required documents to be considered complete.
Domestic students have the option to study on campus or via distance delivery mode. Distance refers to learning activities that do not require you to attend campus, but instead allow you to join pre-scheduled virtual classes.
