Introduction to Ethical Reasoning
Core unit of study required for the Graduate Certificate in Bioethics.
Introduction to Ethical Reasoning (alternative)
Alternative to BETH5101, available upon approval from the Program Director due to scheduling issues.
Common Questions
You will need to complete 1 core unit (Introduction to Ethical Reasoning, BETH5101), 2 units from Part 1 of the Unit of Study Table, and 1 unit from either Part 1 or Part 2 of the Unit of Study Table.
Candidates may apply to the Program Director for approval to complete BETH5000, or a suitable alternative, if they are unable to complete the core unit of study BETH5101 Introduction to Ethical Reasoning because of scheduling issues.
The application closing date for Semester 1 is 31 January of the commencing year, and for Semester 2 it is 15 July of the commencing year. Separate deadlines apply for scholarships.
You will need to submit a resumé including your education and employment history, a statement of intent, proof of identity (valid passport, or Australian birth certificate or citizenship certificate for domestic students), current or final official academic transcripts with English translations if applicable, a final testamur or proof of completion of your qualification, and proof of English proficiency where required.
The Graduate Certificate in Bioethics program is directed by Dr Kathryn MacKay and coordinated by Dr Hojjat Soofi.
