The Graduate Certificate in Business takes 1 term full-time or 2+ terms part-time to complete.
Applicants must hold an Australian bachelor's degree (or equivalent qualification, including an overseas qualification), OR have completed a three-year post-secondary qualification with an average pass mark of 70% in a relevant discipline, OR have three years' relevant work experience.
The course has four core units: Principles of Accounting (TACC601) OR Accounting for Business (TACC602), Economic Environment of Business (TECO602), Marketing Management (TMKT601), and one unit selected from Business Finance (TFIN601), Individual, Group and Organisational Behaviour (TMGT602), or Human Resource Management (TMGT600). There are no electives beyond this selection.
The course is delivered on campus at three locations: Sydney (Eveleigh NSW 2015), Hobart (Ground Unit 1, 73-81 Murray Street, Hobart TAS 7000), and Perth (350-354 Albany Highway, Victoria Park WA 6100; and Lot 131, 131 Harold Street, Highgate WA 6003).
The Graduate Certificate in Business is suitable for students seeking to work in fields such as management and marketing. It also serves as an entry program into the Master of Business Administration and Master of International Business.
