Graduate Certificate in Business

The Graduate Certificate in Business consists of 4 subjects. Students will select four (4) subjects from the approved six (6) core subjects: ACC700 Principles of Accounting, BUS700 Economics, BUS702 Business Law, BUS708 Statistics and Data Analysis, BUS709 Communication in Business, and MGT708 Organisations and Organisational Behaviour.

Graduates of the Graduate Certificate in Business are eligible to apply for admission into further postgraduate qualifications in Australia and overseas. Graduates may apply for admission to KOI's Graduate Diploma of Business, Master of Accounting or Master of Professional Accounting with 4 credits for prior learning credit given for studies completed within the Graduate Certificate in Business.

To be permitted to enrol in this course, students must have completed a Bachelor degree (AQF Level 7) or higher. General admission criteria also apply to the course.

The course learning outcomes include: demonstrating current and connected knowledge of the core disciplines; demonstrating skills in critical thinking to identify and analyse current theories and emerging trends in business; communicating business solutions effectively to stakeholders; demonstrating skills in the application of knowledge and problem-solving and the ability to think rigorously and independently; and practising social interaction skills to communicate business ideas, work effectively in teams, make independent judgements and work responsibly with positive results.
