Common Questions
Yes. The four units completed in the Graduate Certificate in Business can be credited towards the UWA MBA Flexible program, which requires a total of twelve units. This means Graduate Certificate graduates need to complete only a further eight units to finish the MBA.
Yes. The course can be studied fully online, as well as on-campus at UWA's Crawley campus in Perth. It is also available part time, with a range of units taught after hours, and the option to learn via intensive units.
The course has three intake periods per year: Trimester 1, Trimester 2, and Trimester 3. For 2026, application close dates are 5 January (T1), 13 April (T2), and 27 July (T3). T2 and T3 2026 applications are currently open.

It is particularly suited to those from technical backgrounds such as science, health, and engineering who wish to move into business decision-making, non-technical, or general management roles.
