EEI's Graduate Certificate in Business is an entry level course for the Master Program at the University of Newcastle (UoN) or at Southern Cross University (SCU). EEI has an Articulation Agreement with both UoN and SCU which allows students to receive credit against the total units of study required for further studies, such as selected Master Programs at UoN or SCU, upon successful completion of EEI's Graduate Certificate in Business.
To qualify for an award of the Graduate Certificate in Business, a candidate shall accrue an aggregate of at least 24 credit points, including satisfactory completion of four core units of study (BUS401, BUS402, ACC401, and MGT401), each worth 6 credit points.
Applicants must meet one of the following English language requirements: English is the student's first language; IELTS 6.5 with no individual band below 6.0; TOEFL 94 (Internet-based); PTE 67; completion of the English for Academic Purposes (EAP) program at an Australian NEAS Accredited Language Centre; completion of an approved English communication skills program; or completion of 12 months AQF level 5 or above study delivered in English with qualification.
The Graduate Certificate in Business has a duration of up to 26 weeks (CRICOS Code: 099229E). The course structure is based on one semester commitment of 14 weeks duration (full time), with four core units of study to be taken.
Applicants must have completed any relevant undergraduate degree in Australia or overseas in disciplines including, but not limited to, Accounting, Business, Finance, Economics, Human Resource Management, Management, or Leadership. Alternatively, applicants may be admitted upon completion of a relevant Advanced Diploma or Diploma combined with a minimum of 3 years of relevant working experience (defined as a position of responsibility in any organisation or industry). Students must also be 18 years of age before commencement of the designated study period.
