Common Questions
UTS offers nested programs that build on each other. A graduate certificate is typically the first four subjects of a master's degree, a graduate diploma covers the first eight subjects, and the full master's degree comprises a total of 12 subjects. Students can also further specialise by completing an Extension Masters, which adds another four subjects on top of the master's.
Yes. Generally speaking, as long as you have completed subjects that are deemed equivalent to those at UTS within a 10-year period, you should be eligible for some recognition of prior learning (RPL). You need to apply for your course first, and once you have received an offer, you can submit your RPL application to the Student Centre. UTS recommends reviewing unit outlines and comparing subject descriptions within the UTS handbook to identify the most relevant prior study.
Yes. A graduate certificate is the typical entry point for applicants without an undergraduate degree. Upon successful completion, students can transfer internally into either the graduate diploma or the master's degree.
Generally, subjects are leaning more to being back on campus, so you can expect to be on campus for the majority of subjects unless you select one of UTS's entirely online programs. UTS Business School transitioned through fully face-to-face delivery pre-2020, to online during COVID, and then to a more blended model.
Yes, UTS offers part-time study options and the programs are described as flexible enough to balance study, work, and personal life. For part-time students, UTS recommends looking at the fee per credit point using the fee calculator when estimating costs, as the fee per session displayed is based on a full-time load of four subjects per session.

Honestly I was lost when I first started looking at Australian colleges. There are just too many options and every agent gives you different info. A friend told me about FindTheCourses and within a week I had shortlisted 3 programs that actually matched my budget and visa situation. My advisor Sanjay was super helpful — never felt like I was being pushed into anything.
