The Graduate Certificate in Business Administration gives you an overview of key business functions while also providing the foundation for a generalist management qualification in the Master of Business Administration. During the course you are introduced to important management disciplines such as finance, communications, marketing and business organisation, and you get the opportunity to apply your new knowledge to your own organisation through assessments. All ACU units are embedded with the United Nations sustainable goals. The award sits at AQF Level 8 and takes half a year of full-time study or the equivalent part-time. To complete it a student completes 40 credit points of specified units: Business Communication for the 21st Century, Managing Market Environments, Organisational Dynamics and Behaviour, and either Accounting for Decision Making or Money Management, each worth 10 credit points. Students commencing in Semester 1 study in campus attendance mode, while units for students commencing in Semester 2 are delivered in multi-mode. The course is offered at ACU's Melbourne and North Sydney campuses, and offshore locations are available to sponsored cohorts only. There are two intakes a year, with Semester 1 beginning in March and the midyear Semester 2 intake beginning in August, and deferment is available for one year. If you wish to advance your qualification further, the Graduate Certificate in Business Administration articulates into ACU's Master of Business Administration, and it also provides a pathway to further postgraduate study if you have not completed a bachelor's degree.
