Common Questions
Students will complete 4 compulsory core subjects, each of 6 credit points in value, for a total of 24 credit points. The subjects are Accounting for Managers (MBA601), Marketing Management (MBA602), Economics for Business (MPA503), and Management, Leadership and Ethics (MBA603).
Graduates will consolidate foundational theories and materials both conceptually and practically from accounting, management leadership, ethics, economics, and marketing. They will also critically evaluate key management theories and apply them in various business contexts, utilise knowledge to identify and implement effective solutions, integrate program competencies conceptually and practically, and communicate complex business administration information to selected audiences.
Students who successfully complete the GCBA will be eligible to enrol in the MBA at TIIS. Students may also be interested in transferring to other awards, and TIIS academic staff will provide guidance for interested students.
The GCBA is delivered on campus at either the Sydney campus (Level 4, 22 Market Street, Sydney, NSW 2000) or the Melbourne campus (Level 1, 112 Newquay Promenade, Docklands, VIC 3008). Intakes are available in January, March, May, July, September, and November.
The application process involves four steps: first, gather all necessary documents as per TIIS entry requirements; second, complete the application forms and send them to TIIS via email; third, if you meet the requirements, TIIS will issue a Letter of Offer; and fourth, secure your place by paying your tuition fees, upon which you will receive a Confirmation of Enrolment (COE).
