Common Questions
To achieve the qualification, candidates must complete four elective units of competency: at least two units from Group A (Scripture and Theology), at least one unit from Group B (Ministry and Formation), and up to one unit selected from any endorsed Training Package or accredited course relevant to the work outcome.
Entrants must hold the Advanced Diploma of Christian Ministry and Theology, OR hold a higher education qualification (e.g. Bachelor Degree) with relevant vocational experience in Christian ministry and theology. It is also recommended that entrants have language, literacy and numeracy skills at ACSF level 2 in numeracy, 4 in reading and writing, and 5 in learning and oral communication.
Successful completion of the course requires learners to engage in approximately 300 hours of unsupervised activities, including undertaking work or work experience in a Christian ministry, completing self-paced study, conducting research on Christian ministry and theology, participating in a religious community's practices (such as worship, small groups, pastoral care, outreach and community service), and undertaking personal formation activities including devotion, prayer, personal retreat and reflection.
The Graduate Certificate in Christian Ministry and Theology includes units of competency that can be included in the Graduate Diploma of Christian Ministry and Theology, providing a direct pathway to that qualification. Graduates may also be eligible to enter a range of other higher qualifications offered by RTOs and higher education providers. The qualification also contains units from Public Sector, Business Services, and Community Services training packages, which provide pathways into relevant VET qualifications.
Assessment is conducted using a variety of methods over time to ensure a sufficient range of valid evidence is gathered. Methods may include direct observation, case studies, scenarios, simulations and/or role plays, written and/or oral questions, assignments, projects, portfolios of evidence, and third party evidence and supervisor reports. Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) is also offered to applicants.

Honestly I was lost when I first started looking at Australian colleges. There are just too many options and every agent gives you different info. A friend told me about FindTheCourses and within a week I had shortlisted 3 programs that actually matched my budget and visa situation. My advisor Sanjay was super helpful — never felt like I was being pushed into anything.
