You must submit the English Language Declaration Form, a copy of your current AHPRA Dental Registration certificate (or overseas practicing Dental registration certificate for international applicants), a criminal record check, a current detailed Resumé outlining your dentist employment history and relevant experience, contact details of two work-related referees, proof of identity (valid passport or Australian birth certificate), official academic transcripts, your final testamur or proof of completion, and proof of English proficiency where required.
For tests taken on or after 23 April 2026, you must achieve at least: IELTS (academic) overall 7 with 7 in each component; PTE Academic overall 72 with 72 in listening, reading, and writing, and 76 in speaking; or TOEFL iBT total 96 with 23 in listening, 23 in reading, 25 in writing, and 24 in speaking. For tests taken on or prior to 22 April 2026, the TOEFL iBT minimums differ slightly (24 for listening and reading, 25 for writing, 23 for speaking). All tests must be completed within two years of your course commencement date. Alternatively, applicants whose primary language is English and who have completed qualifying education solely in English in a recognised country may satisfy requirements via the English as Primary Language declaration.
Applications open on 1 September, two years prior to the commencement year. For the 2027 intake, applications close on 4 May 2026.
Students are required to complete 4 units of study listed for the Advanced Restorative stream. Current students should refer to the latest Medicine and Health faculty handbook for the unit of study table.
Yes, international candidates need to submit a Criminal Record Check from their own country at the time of application. If the document is issued in a language other than English, applicants must provide the original together with an official English translation.
