The Graduate Certificate in Computer Science is available at two campuses: Fremantle (23 High St, Fremantle, WA 6160) and Sydney (128-140 Broadway, Chippendale, NSW 2008).
To be eligible for admission, all applicants must meet the University's minimum requirements for admission as detailed in the University's Policy: Admissions. There are no additional entry requirements or pre-requisites for the Graduate Certificate in Computer Science beyond the University's minimum requirement for postgraduate admission.
This program has Commonwealth Supported Places (CSP) available for eligible domestic students, where the Australian Government pays part of your fees and you pay the student contribution amount — which can be deferred via a HECS-HELP Loan. International students pay full fees, with tuition costs depending on study load and discipline.
The program covers four compulsory courses: Computer Systems, Advanced Database Systems, Technology Project Management, and Cyber Security Management. Graduates will be able to demonstrate comprehensive understanding of core computer science concepts, apply project management and cyber security skills, communicate technical concepts effectively, and demonstrate awareness of ethical and legal considerations relevant to computer science.
