The Graduate Certificate in Construction Management is designed to be completed within a 6-month period of full-time study.
The Graduate Certificate in Construction Management is a full-fee course (not government subsidised), with indicative fees of AU$17,250 per year for a full-time student. In addition to tuition fees, students will also need to pay a Student Services and Amenities Fee (SSAF).
Yes. After completing the Graduate Certificate in Construction Management, you may choose to extend your learning by transferring to the Graduate Diploma in Construction Management. Following the diploma, an additional year of study will result in the Master of Construction Management, which includes the opportunity to conduct original, data-focused research.
Yes. Applicants without an undergraduate qualification may be admitted to the Graduate Certificate based on approved work experience. Upon completion of the Graduate Certificate, those graduates will be eligible for admission to the Master of Construction Management course with credit granted for completed units.
The course covers fundamental principles of project management including scoping, scheduling, costing, and planning large-scale projects, as well as environmental and social considerations. You will also study risk management and decision making, quantity surveying, and the practical application of artificial intelligence (AI) and machine learning in analysing extensive datasets, predicting project costs, and optimising resource allocation, as well as system dynamics modelling in construction.
