Entry Requirements

General Requirements

Applicants require a four-year Bachelor's degree in physiotherapy or equivalent from a recognised institution
A minimum of 2 years' relevant clinical experience is required
Applicants must either be registered physiotherapists or eligible for temporary registration in Western Australia
Students will be required to register with the Physiotherapy Board of Australia
You must meet Curtin's English language requirements for this course (refer to IELTS table on the English language requirements page)
Documents to submit with your application: Academic transcript and award certificate, Resume, Two academic/professional referees (not required if you have completed or are completing the Graduate Certificate in Clinical Physiotherapy), and evidence of current registration as a physiotherapist

Is this course available to international students on a student visa?

No. This course is not available for direct entry for international onshore students studying in Australia on a student visa.

What is the fee for this course?

The 2026 domestic indicative first-year fee is $17,599. This is based on a first-year full-time study load of 100 credit points and does not include other fees such as administrative, incidental fees, or textbooks. Domestic fee-paying students may be eligible for FEE-HELP assistance.

Can this Graduate Certificate count towards a higher qualification?

Yes. This course is available as an exit/intermediate award for the Master of Clinical Physiotherapy (Continence and Pelvic Health) (MC-PHYTH).

Do I need to submit referee reports with my application?

You are required to submit two academic/professional referee reports with your application. However, if you have completed or are in the process of completing the Graduate Certificate in Clinical Physiotherapy, you are not required to submit referee reports with your course application.

How long does this course take to complete and how is it delivered?

This is a one-year part-time course (or equivalent part-time study). It is offered on campus at Curtin Perth, with some units also available externally. It is a part-time-only course.
