Graduate Certificate in Creative Writing

You will need to complete 24 credit points in total, including 12 credit points from selective units of study and 12 credit points from elective units of study, including one introductory workshop selective unit of study.

The closing date for Semester 1 is 31 January of the commencing year, and the closing date for Semester 2 is 15 July of the commencing year. Separate deadlines apply for scholarship applications.

Students can expect intimate access to Sydney's literary life, including major literary and cultural events and institutions with which the University has close ties, such as the Sydney Writers' Festival. There is a constant calendar of readings, performances and community events, as well as visits from celebrated guests in a superb research environment.
