You can complete the Graduate Certificate in Cybersecurity in as little as one trimester full-time, or pace your studies for up to two years part-time. The course consists of 4 units (24 credit points).
Yes. You can progress your studies with the Graduate Diploma in Cybersecurity or the Master of Cybersecurity programs, and you will receive credit for the units you complete in your Graduate Certificate.
Estimated fees for the course are: Commonwealth Supported Place approximately $4,752; Full Fee (no government subsidy) approximately $15,172; Study Online for International Students approximately $10,000 (reduced fee for students studying from outside Australia); Study On-campus for International Students approximately $17,400. An estimated amenities fee of $373 per year also applies for full-time students. Note that fees are based on total credit points for this course (24 credit points) and are reviewed annually.
Students must complete the core unit Fundamentals of Cybersecurity and Privacy (COSC130, 6 credit points), then select 12 credit points from Group 1 electives — Cryptography (COSC481), Ethical Hacking (COSC482), Cybersecurity Risk and Project Management (COSC483), and Cloud Security (COSC484) — and 6 credit points from Group 2 — Computer Networks and Network Security (COSC540) or Information Privacy (COSC581).
Yes, the course is available fully online as well as on campus at UNE's Armidale campus and Sydney campus. International students studying online from outside Australia are also eligible for a reduced tuition fee of approximately $10,000 per year. Online students studying on a Student Visa cannot study completely online and must be enrolled as on-campus students.
