Applicants must hold a Bachelor degree, Graduate Certificate or equivalent, or have 5 years of documented relevant work experience. They must also meet minimum English language proficiency requirements, such as an IELTS score of 6.5 overall with no individual band below 6.0, or equivalent scores in other accepted tests.
The course is delivered in a blended mode, combining scheduled on-campus face-to-face classes (three hours per week for each unit) with online content and activities. Full-time students complete the course in 6 months (1 semester), while part-time students complete it in 12 months (2 semesters).
Students are required to supply their own laptop and bring it to all classes. The recommended minimum specifications are: Intel Core i7 processor, at least 16GB of RAM, Cache Size 12MB or more, Primary HDD storage 256GB or more, Wireless networking IEEE 802.11ac, Bluetooth 5.0, and Windows 11 as the operating system.
Graduates can pursue careers such as Cybersecurity Operations Coordinator, Cyber Threat Analyst, Intrusion Analyst, Malware Analyst, Incident Responder, Penetration Tester, and Vulnerability Researcher / Vulnerability Assessor.
The course comprises four units worth 6 credit points each, totalling 24 credit points: Foundations of Cybersecurity (CYB801), Programming and Secure Software Development (CYB802), Securing Networks & Communications Infrastructure (CYB803), and Security Engineering (CYB805).
