To enrol, applicants must meet one of the following: hold an Australian bachelor's degree or equivalent overseas qualification; have completed a graduate certificate or graduate diploma in a relevant field (including at least 1 unit of mathematics, statistics, or quantitative analysis); have five years' relevant work experience; or have completed a three-year post-secondary qualification with an average pass mark of 70% in a relevant discipline (including at least 1 unit of mathematics, statistics, or quantitative analysis). English language requirements also apply.
The course is delivered on campus at three locations: Sydney (Eveleigh NSW 2015), Hobart (Ground Unit 1, 73-81 Murray Street, Hobart TAS 7000), and Perth (350-354 Albany Highway, Victoria Park WA 6100, and Lot 131, 131 Harold Street, Highgate WA 6003). International students are required to maintain a full-time study load on a campus basis.
The course takes 0.7 years full time or 1.5 years part time. International students are required to maintain a full-time study load on a campus basis.
The course contains 4 core subjects. In Term 1, students study Introduction to Database (DAC702) and Applied Statistics (DAC700). In Term 2, students study Coding for Data Analytics (DAC604) and either Computer Information Systems (DAC600) or Technology, Society and Ethics (DAD802).
Yes. Upon successful completion of the Graduate Certificate in Data Analytics, students may apply to enrol in the Graduate Diploma of Data Analytics and the Master of Data Analytics. Students progressing into a higher award will be given credit for studies completed within the Graduate Certificate.
