The Bachelor of Design offers the following majors: Advertising and Design, Design Innovation and Fabrication, Fashion Design, Graphic Design, and Photography.

Students can hone their craft in the School of Design and the Built Environment and in media production studios equipped with the latest technology. The School has a new home in the Exchange Precinct, building 418, which is a contemporary learning space equipped with the latest tech in assembly and prototyping. It was awarded a 6 star rating for environmentally sustainable design, placing it among the most efficient buildings in Australia.

Through industry projects and internships, students build a portfolio that highlights their creativity, problem-solving and career-ready skills. The courses also offer flexible degrees with specialisations to deepen expertise in a particular creative field or branch into a different discipline to broaden opportunities.

Graduates could work across sectors such as advertising and marketing, media and publishing, film and animation, fashion, creative arts, digital and interactive design (including UX/UI, gaming, virtual and augmented reality), architecture, product design, healthcare and more. In industries that are constantly evolving, ideas and skills will set graduates up for exciting careers – some of which may not even exist yet.
