The Graduate Certificate in Education is the first step in VU's graduate program in education. Successful completion gains you admission to the Graduate Diploma in Education, which in turn leads into the Master of Education.
Eligible students may access a Commonwealth Supported Place (CSP). The indicative fee for a full-time student in 2026 is AU$2,369 per year. This is a guide only and does not include materials such as textbooks or the Student Services and Amenities Fee (SSAF). If you are not eligible for a CSP, you will pay the full cost of each unit, and HELP loans may be available.
To attain the award of Graduate Certificate in Education, students are required to complete a total of 48 credit points, consisting entirely of core studies across four units: Critiquing Pedagogies, Innovations and Innovators in Education, Theory and Practice of Positive Education, and Critiquing Curriculum and Policy.
