Admission criteria text: The Graduate Certificate in Education is a 40-unit postgraduate qualification for: Teacher Retraining Applicants with a recognised Australian teaching qualification who wish to undertake an additional teaching area* in Mathematics or TESOL must have a: Bachelor Degree in Education/Teaching Some applicants may need to undertake more than 40 units of study in Mathematics or TESOL depending on previous tertiary studies. For these applicants, credit will be awarded into the Master of Education (Mathematics or TESOL specialisation). Professional Learning Applicants who wish to gain professional learning in TESOL must have one of the following qualifications: Bachelor Degree or higher; or Diploma or Advanced Diploma plus two years' relevant work experience; or At least five years’ relevant work experience. Relevant work experience includes education, teaching, training, tutoring, or equivalent. Work experience can be demonstrated through: certified copies of all relevant qualifications, a detailed CV, and a statement of service or signed letters from employers confirming your role, duties and period of employment.
