There are five specialisations available, each of which will appear on your testamur: Digital Learning, Indigenous Australian Education, School Leadership, Special and Inclusive Education, and Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages (TESOL). You may also choose a generalist pathway to mix-and-match units according to your interests.
The course can be completed in as little as 0.5 years (six months) full-time, or up to 2 years part-time, consisting of 4 units totalling 24 credit points.
Yes, the course is available fully online across all three trimesters (February, June, and October). It is also available on campus at Armidale in Trimester 1 and Trimester 2. Sydney Campus does not offer this course.
Yes. Students admitted under Rule B may only undertake the TESOL specialisation, and students admitted under Rule C may only undertake the Digital Learning specialisation. Additionally, the TESOL specialisation is only available when commencing in Trimester 1 on a part-time basis.
All applicants must provide a certified academic transcript of their completed qualification/s. If applying under Rules C or D, a Statement of Service from your employer/s on company letterhead is also required. International applicants must additionally provide proof of identity and citizenship, and evidence of English Language Requirements being satisfied (e.g. a copy of a UNE-approved English test completed within the last two years).
