You can study the Employment Relations specialisation as part of the Bachelor of Business Administration, Bachelor of Commerce, or Bachelor of Advanced Commerce (Honours). It is also available in double degrees including Bachelor of Science (Psychology)/Bachelor of Commerce (Human Resource Management and Industrial Relations) and Bachelor of Laws/Bachelor of Commerce.
When completed in conjunction with the Human Resource major, the combined course is accredited by the Australian HR Institute (AHRI) and graduates may be eligible for membership of AHRI.
The specialisation covers the formal framework and theory of employment relations, forms of negotiation, dispute resolution, the Fair Work Act, anti-discrimination legislation, and health and safety laws. It also explores the gig economy, precarious work, the casualisation of the workforce, and recent changes to the workplace relations arena including the Government's industrial relations tripartite review.
Students will get to interact with real companies, learn from case studies and case law, and experience scenario-based assessments, so they'll be ready to apply what they've learned as soon as they graduate.
Graduates can pursue roles such as HR advisor/business partner, employment relations advisor/consultant, industrial relations manager, workplace relations specialist, industrial officer (trade union), and director of workplace operations across industries including banking, finance and insurance, government, resources, manufacturing, hospitality, management consulting, and trade union and employer associations.

Honestly I was lost when I first started looking at Australian colleges. There are just too many options and every agent gives you different info. A friend told me about FindTheCourses and within a week I had shortlisted 3 programs that actually matched my budget and visa situation. My advisor Sanjay was super helpful — never felt like I was being pushed into anything.
