You can choose from the following majors: Civil, Electrical, Mechanical, Mechatronic, and Telecommunications engineering. Each major covers distinct areas — for example, Civil covers structural design, geotechnical engineering and water engineering, while Mechatronic covers robotics, computer control, automated manufacturing, microprocessor applications and machine design.
The program is valuable for students from a learning environment outside Australia and for those who do not currently meet entry requirements for the Master of Engineering. It also allows practising Engineering professionals to study new techniques in the areas of their major as well as in sustainable design and software applications.
The program takes 1 year full time and is also available part time. The next intake starts on 20 July 2026 (Spring 2026), with further intakes on 01 March 2027 (Autumn 2027) and 19 July 2027 (Spring 2027).
Yes. Discounted student fees are available through Commonwealth Supported Places (CSPs) when undertaking this course in 2026. The indicative annual domestic fee is from $11,885.
The Graduate Certificate in Engineering is delivered at the Parramatta City campus of Western Sydney University.
