You will complete 6 core units of study and 1 elective unit of study. The core focus links environmental sciences such as ecology, climate change and chemistry with studies in politics and law, project evaluation and assessment, and decision-making and conflict resolution.
You can pursue your particular interest with a range of electives, which include marine science, international development, law and the environment, geographic information systems, and more.
Applications close on 31 January of the commencing year for Semester 1 intake, and 15 July of the commencing year for Semester 2 intake. Note that separate deadlines apply for scholarship applications.
You can submit an application through the University of Sydney's online portal. The course code is GCENVSCI1000.
Yes, the course is available to both domestic students (including Australian or New Zealand citizens, Australian Permanent resident visa holders, Australian Permanent humanitarian visa holders, and Pacific Engagement Visa holders) and international students who are not Australian or New Zealand citizens or permanent residents of Australia.
