Yes. The graduate certificate and graduate diploma provide an articulation pathway into the master's program. Students can articulate from the graduate certificate into the Graduate Diploma in Global Health and the Master of Global Health. You can also elect to further your studies by adding an extension to gain research experience through additional research methodology courses and/or an advanced research project, which may make you eligible to apply to pursue a PhD. You can also combine your master's degree with health leadership and management, public health or infectious diseases intelligence through dual or dual extension options.
The Graduate Certificate in Global Health can be completed in 0.7 years of full-time study or one year part-time. The program is made up of four courses total, including one core course and three elective courses.
For 2026, the indicative Commonwealth Supported Place (CSP) first year fee and fee to complete the degree is $5,000. For domestic full fee-paying students, the 2026 indicative first year full fee and fee to complete the degree is $19,500. For international students, the 2026 indicative first year full fee is $30,500 and the indicative full fee to complete the degree is $31,000. Fees are subject to annual review and may vary accordingly.
The program offers flexible delivery options. Courses can be taken online or face-to-face, full-time or part-time, allowing you to complete the program from anywhere in the world. The program's online learning spaces facilitate collaborative learning so you can connect with fellow students and course convenors in real-time.
In exceptional cases (Pathway 3), you may be considered for entry if you have extensive professional experience in health or public health but don't hold a relevant degree. You must have at least five years of full-time, relevant experience. The School of Population Health may also invite you to attend an interview. Additionally, an Indigenous Alternative Entry Scheme is available for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples, providing entry based on your interest in public health and relevant educational and/or professional experience.
