The Graduate Certificate in Health Leadership and Management can be completed in 0.7 years (approximately 8–9 months) of full-time study, or one year part-time. The program is made up of four courses total.
Yes. The graduate certificate and graduate diploma provide an articulation pathway into the Master of Health Leadership and Management. You can also elect to further your studies by adding an extension to gain research experience through additional research methodology courses and/or an advanced research project, and you can combine your master's degree with public health, global health or infectious diseases intelligence through dual or dual extension options.
For 2026, the indicative Commonwealth Supported Place (CSP) first year fee and fee to complete the degree is $5,000. For domestic full fee-paying students, the indicative first year full fee is $19,500 and the fee to complete the degree is also $19,500. For international students, the 2026 indicative first year full fee is $30,500 and the indicative full fee to complete the degree is $31,000. Fees are subject to annual review and may vary.
The program offers flexible delivery options including both face-to-face (including blended) and fully online study. Courses can be taken online or face-to-face, full-time or part-time, allowing you to complete the degree from anywhere in the world according to your needs and commitments. Online learning spaces facilitate collaborative learning so you can connect with fellow students and course convenors in real-time.
There is an exceptional third pathway for applicants who have extensive professional experience in health or public health but do not hold a relevant degree. Under Pathway 3, you must have at least five years of full-time, relevant experience, and the School of Population Health may invite you to attend an interview. Additionally, an Indigenous Alternative Entry Scheme is available for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples, providing entry based on interest in public health and relevant educational and/or professional experience.
