Yes. Students can articulate from the Graduate Certificate in Infectious Diseases Intelligence into the Graduate Diploma in Infectious Diseases Intelligence and the Master of Infectious Diseases Intelligence. You can also elect to further your studies by adding an extension to gain research experience through additional research methodology courses and/or an advanced research project, which may make you eligible to apply to pursue a PhD. You can also combine your master's degree with health leadership and management, public health or global health through dual or dual extension options.
The Graduate Certificate in Infectious Diseases Intelligence can be completed in 0.7 years of full-time study or one year part-time. The program is made up of four courses in total, including two core courses and two elective courses, with a total of 24 Units of Credit (UOC).
There are three entry pathways. Pathway 1 requires a three-year undergraduate degree in any field plus two years of full-time professional or volunteer experience in a relevant field. Pathway 2 requires an undergraduate degree with honours or a postgraduate degree in a relevant field. Pathway 3, for exceptional cases, is available to applicants who have extensive professional experience in health or public health but don't hold a relevant degree — they must have at least five years of full-time, relevant experience and may be invited to attend an interview. Additionally, an Indigenous Alternative Entry Scheme is available for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples.
