As an international student at UHE, you are protected under the ESOS framework, which guarantees your right to a written agreement outlining services and fees before paying, the right to receive the education you have paid for, and the right to a refund or placement in another course if UHE is unable to deliver your course.

Your visa may only be extended if you experience compassionate or compelling circumstances (such as illness evidenced by a medical certificate), if UHE has implemented an intervention strategy because you are at risk of not meeting satisfactory course progress, or if you have been granted an approved Leave of Absence.

You must notify UHE Administration of any changes to your personal details — such as your name, phone number, personal email, or emergency contact — within seven days of the change occurring. You must also advise UHE of your current address within seven days of arriving in Australia.

Your enrolment is governed by the ESOS Act 2000, the ESOS Regulations 2019, and the National Code of Practice 2018, which together ensure quality education and a high standard of service for international students studying in Australia.

Under the ESOS framework, you have the right to know how to use student support services, who the contact officers for overseas students are, whether you can apply for course credit, the conditions under which your enrolment can be deferred or cancelled, the requirements for satisfactory course progress, whether attendance is monitored, what happens if you want to change providers, and how to use UHE's complaints and appeals process.
