The Graduate Certificate in Interpreting and Translation is suitable for practising interpreters seeking higher level skills and aspiring interpreters and translators preparing to sit for the National Accreditation Authority for Translators and Interpreters Ltd (NAATI) examination. The program consists of four subjects of study, and articulates into other postgraduate programs. The Graduate Certificate in Interpreting and Translation is designed for bilingual graduates aspiring to have a career as an interpreter or translator, as well as practising interpreters and translators seeking to enhance their existing expertise and skills. The course will provide you with strong foundational knowledge of the theoretical concepts and essential skills of interpreting and translation. Leading into other postgraduate courses including the Graduate Diploma in Interpreting, the Graduate Diploma in Translation, the Master of Arts Interpreting and Translation Studies, and the Master of Interpreting and Translation, this program will help advance your career in the language sector. Credit towards any of these programs is granted based on common subjects. Subject to demand the following languages are available: Arabic, Japanese, Mandarin, Korean, Vietnamese and Spanish. Study and save: Discounted student fees are available through Commonwealth Supported Places (CSPs) when undertaking this course in 2026.
