Advanced Research in Theology
Designed to assist students in crafting a comprehensive research proposal in their discipline area. Students engage in monthly meetings with a dedicated research supervisor and work independently and collaboratively to produce a viable research project proposition.
Introduction to Theology
Explores the historical and contemporary formation of core doctrines such as the Trinity, creation, and redemption, and how these elements influence individual spirituality and inform broader aspects of life, mission, and vocation.
Christ and Salvation
Delves into the theological underpinnings that inform modern Christian thought and life, examining everything from the quest for the historical Jesus to the development of early Christology and theories of atonement.
Pneumatology
Examines the development of beliefs about the Holy Spirit, particularly from a Pentecostal perspective, and how these influence the doctrine and practice of the church today, including Pentecostal distinctives like baptism in the Spirit.

It is a nested award in the Graduate Diploma of Leadership and Master of Leadership, allowing flexibility for students who may wish to start with a short postgraduate course before committing to a Master of Leadership, or for students who need to exit the Master of Leadership.
The course takes 6 months to complete full-time, or up to 3 years part-time. It consists of 4 subjects worth 40 credit points in total.

This course meets the theological qualification requirements to be an ordained minister in churches that are part of the Australian Christian Churches movement, which represents over 1,100 churches throughout Australia and neighbouring countries. Students whose church is part of another denomination should check with their church or denomination office if this course is also recognised for credentialled ministry.
The course fee is $3,150 per subject, and FEE-HELP is available to eligible domestic students. The course consists of 4 subjects, so the total indicative cost is $12,600. Intakes commence in March (Semester 1) and August (Semester 2).
