Yes, for postgraduate coursework entry, you can demonstrate at least 2 years of professional work experience in an occupation requiring English language proficiency. You must provide a supporting statement from your employer on official letterhead or company email confirming that English is the language of business, your duration of employment, roles and responsibilities, nature of work, scale of the organisation, and whether the company deals internationally.
RMIT accepts IELTS (Academic) / IELTS (Academic) One Skill Retake, TOEFL (Internet Based Test – iBT), Pearson Test of English Academic (PTE (A)), C1 Advanced (formerly Cambridge English: Advanced), and C2 Proficiency (formerly Cambridge English: Proficiency). For postgraduate entry, minimum scores are IELTS 6.5 (no band less than 6.0), TOEFL iBT overall 79, PTE (A) 58, and C1 Advanced/C2 Proficiency 176 with no less than 169 in any component.
Yes, RMIT is running a 2026 pilot that allows local (domestic) applicants to meet minimum English language requirements through the completion of one of RMIT's approved English language proficiency tests. Tests must be valid (within 2 years of test date), and RMIT does not accept scores from 'at-home' or 'online' testing. Note that IELTS (General) is not accepted; only IELTS (Academic) is recognised.
If your prior qualification was not taught and assessed entirely in English, you are required to meet English language requirements through either a completed English language proficiency test from an approved provider or a completed English language program from an approved English language provider, regardless of whether you are a domestic or international applicant.

Honestly I was lost when I first started looking at Australian colleges. There are just too many options and every agent gives you different info. A friend told me about FindTheCourses and within a week I had shortlisted 3 programs that actually matched my budget and visa situation. My advisor Sanjay was super helpful — never felt like I was being pushed into anything.
