Applicants require a bachelor degree and at least two years post-degree, relevant work experience. Applicants without an undergraduate degree will be considered on the basis of significant work experience (at least eight years) at a recognisable level of responsibility.
The course may be completed in 0.5 year (6 months) full-time, or the equivalent in part-time study, and consists of 100 credits (approximately four units).
You will need to submit an employer recommendation form, a referee report, a personal statement, and a CV/resume clearly showing your prior work experience and the roles you have held.
The domestic fee-paying postgraduate fee for 2026 is $18,010, based on a first-year full-time study load of 100 credits. Fees are indicative only and the total cost will depend on your course options.
You will examine and evaluate economic and financial models and trends that affect the minerals and energy sector, analyse problems and issues pertaining to the mineral and energy sector and incorporate evidence-based solutions, access appropriate database sources to make valid and supported judgments, and develop communication skills for decision making in a business setting, recognising the different approaches needed to communicate with different audiences.
